Driving to Save Lives - Distracted Driving & Driving Defensively

This Training is for supervisors, business owners, safety officers and anyone else responsible for employees that drive or operate company owned vehicles

Keeny Donohue, Regional Loss Control Director with Acadia Insurance will be presenting Driving to Save Lives: This is a defensive driving class for anyone who drives frequently for their job or has a fleet of vehicles driven by employees.  Did you know that traffic deaths went up 7.7% in 2015?  This class will teach you the most common causes contributing to fatalities and defensive driving strategies to help you prevent yourself and your employees from being in a serious vehicle crash.  No one wants to think a bad accident could happen to them but unfortunately in today's world, it is happening too frequently.  Sample fleet safety programs including policies and fleet safety controls will also be reviewed so that you can help your company avoid serious accidents and fatalities. 

Attendees will learn:

• What are the common distractions while driving
• How to discourage employees from using electronic devices on the job and / or while driving
• Training employees to drive defensively
• Disciplinary measures to those abusing the use of electronic devises on the job.
• Defensive driving education available
